Internet Big Stakes Poker- Gus Hansen

Gus Hansen experienced a marvelous year on the WPT where he was the only one to achieve final game in 3 of the tournaments. Gus Hansen has appeared on High Stakes Poker on GSN where he bought into the game for $400, 000. You might recall one of the largest pots in high stakes poker history competing against Daniel Negreanu. Hansen secured a large pot with quads against Negreanu’s full house. Gus has earned many televised poker appearances and is deemed to be one of the strongest enthusiasts around the world. While betting on web poker, another side of Hansen has appeared. Gus frequently competes in the 200/400 NL max buy-in of $40, 000. Hansen more often than not buys in for the min of Sixteen Thousand dollars and gambles very weak. He waits for a decent hand and then goes all in. I know Gus is an outstanding poker player but certainly not even close to the everyday players at 200/400no limit. Unless Gus is broke, he has no reason to play at the game with the min buy in.

Buying in for the minimum takes almost all of the ability out of deep stack poker. Hansen is presumed to be 1 of the greatest players anywhere in the world but he cannot buy-in for the total amt.. I think tv can skew our perception of the real world at times. The greatest players in the world might just be guys you have will not have heard of. Gus can be seen betting on online poker on Full Tilt. He normally plays in high stakes omaha hold’em and Holdem. Gus has shown himself as a competition player. Can he use his skills in money rounds?
