Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the familiar 52-card common deck and one joker. The gambler is assigned 7 cards face up and the croupier gets 7 cards faces hidden.
A five card hand and a 2 card hand must be made from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand has to be stronger than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be higher than the dealer’s.
