Online poker has become world acclaimed as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. Its universal appeal, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years numerous variations on the first poker game have been developed, including some games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to chemin de fer than traditional poker, in that the players bet against the house rather than each other. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is little conniving or other kinds of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up prior to the dealer announcing "No further wagers." At that instance, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the different players acquire five cards. After you have seen your hand and the bank’s first card, you need to either make a call wager or bow out. The call wager’s amount is akin to your beginning ante, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your ante goes instantly to the bank. After the bet comes the conclusion. If the casino does not have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, plus a sum on par with the ante. If the house has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand beats the bank’s hand. The house pony’s up chips even with your bet and set expectations on your call wager. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for two pairs
- three to one for three of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- twenty to one for a four of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
