Caribbean Poker Protocols and Tricks

[ English ]

Poker has become globally celebrated recently, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, stretches back in fact a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years numerous variants on the earliest poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling vingt-et-un than traditional poker, in that the players bet against the casino instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no bluffing or different kinds of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up just before the croupier declares "No more bets." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course all of the different players acquire five cards each. After you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you have to in turn make a call wager or accede. The call wager’s value is on same level to your beginning ante, indicating that the stakes will have doubled. Bowing out means that your wager goes directly to the casino. After the bet comes the showdown. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is given back, plus a figure equal to the ante. If the bank has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The bank pays chips equal to your wager and controlled odds on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
